NEW YORK A new company, Boathouse International, has been formed between Tridhosyuth Devakul, an Asian architect and property developer, and the UK-based venture capital firm, Doxa Technologies, to develop hotels in Europe. There are plans to develop at least 10 Boathouse hotels in Europe, each with about 100 rooms and described as boutique-styled. The first hotel is expected to open in Frankfurt, in 2002, and will be moored on the River Rhine. Technologies will hold 80% of the share capital and will also become a partner in the Boathouse Phuket, a deluxe resort developed by Tridhosyuth. Boathouse International is expected to seek a stock market listing in Europe, but not before 2004. (11/27/00) SOURCE: HVS International
