BILOXI, MS Isle of Capri Casinos, which doubled its hotel-casino operations in the last year, will end its franchise agreement with Crowne Plaza Resorts in Biloxi effective December 1, company officials said. Because Isle of Capri now operates gambling resorts in Mississippi, Iowa, Colorado, Missouri and Nevada, it no longer needs a franchise agreement to fill its 370-room Biloxi hotel, said Bill Kilduff, general manager of the hotel-casino. “With hotels across the country, weve created our own brand,” Kilduff said. Isle of Capri operates 14 casinos and 17 hotels with a total of 4,027 rooms. (11/30/00) Source: The Sun Herald, Biloxi, MS
