NATIONAL REPORT—InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has set in motion a bicoastal expansion of the Even Hotels brand, with openings in Sarasota, FL, and Eugene, OR.
The Even Hotel Sarasota – Lakewood Ranch is located off I-75 near the beach. Owned by Zieg Hospitality, accommodations include 128 rooms and four suites along with 2,566 sq. ft. of meeting space.
The hotel is located near shopping venues, restaurants, arts and cultural attractions, Siesta Key Beach and is eight miles from the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. The Even Hotel Sarasota marks the first Florida location for the brand, with a second property slated to open in Miami this summer.
On the West Coast, Even Hotel Eugene is proximate to the city’s downtown area and one mile from the Autzen Stadium, north of the University of Oregon. The 100-room and two-suite property, owned by VIP Hospitality Group, offers 1,061 sq. ft. of meeting space and a heated indoor pool. A second West Coast location will open in April: a dual-branded Even Hotel and Staybridge Suites in Seattle.

Even Hotels is expanding with eight hotels now open in New York City; Rockville, MD; Norwalk, CT; Omaha, NE; Eugene, OR; and Sarasota, FL; and several hotels in the pipeline, including a dual-branded property in Seattle, as well as Miami and Pittsburgh.
