ESCHBORN, GERMANY—Best Western Hotels & Resorts is set to expand its reach in Germany, with five hotels managed by the GCH Hotel Group joining the brand at the end of the year.

Three former Balladins hotels in Mannheim, Sindelfingen and Neu-Isenburg, Germany joined the brand in September. The additional destinations in Germany are Troisdorf, Dortmund, Bremen, Braunschweig and Peine. The eight new hotels will provide a total number of 1,023 rooms. Before the brand conversion, all of the former Balladins hotels have been modernized and renovated.

The number of Best Western hotels in the Central European region—which includes Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland—will reach approximately 240 and more than 24,000 rooms.
