Bass Names Hartman To Head Asia/Pacific Region

ATLANTA? Richard Hartman has been named managing director of Bass Hotels & Resorts, Asia/Pacific. He will also serve on the company?s management committee and will be based in the Asia/Pacific region. With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Hartman most recently served as president of ITT Sheraton-North America. He also served as president for the company?s Asia/Pacific region where his strategy grew the division from six to 40 hotels. In addition, Hartman has had numerous assignments in the field and at corporate levels spanning three continents during his career. ?We are delighted Richard Hartman will be joining Bass Hotels & Resorts. Having a hotelier of his stature will truly be an asset to the company,? said Thomas Oliver, chairman/CEO of Bass Hotels & Resorts. Bass Hotels & Resorts is the parent of Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Inter-Continental Hotels & Resorts.
