FT. LAUDERDALE, FL— B Hotels & Resorts expects to open a new lifestyle hotel in first quarter at 1300 Canal St. in New Orleans.

The brand concept, B On Canal, is being done via a conversion and renovation of a 1920s building. Expanded meeting space and a full-service restaurant and bar are part of the scheduled plan.

“We’re excited to establish brand presence with this beautiful hotel in a great location,” said Ayelet Weinstein, CEO, B Hotels & Resorts.

Design firm IDDI is redesigning the interior and will include all 157 guestrooms and suites, a reconfigured lobby and more than 1,600 sq. ft. of banquet and meeting space with city views. Full-service food and beverage offerings will include event catering, room service and the addition of a signature restaurant and bar with 95 seats and a private dining room.
