IRVING, TX— Affiliates of Crown American Hotels Company have sold 22 assets in the Northeast to W2001 Eastern Hotel Realty, L.P., an affiliate of Irving, TX-based Archon Group, L.P. The portfolio of hotels includes 3,383 guestrooms. One hotel is located in Georgia, one is in Tennessee, three are in Maryland, three are found in Virginia, four are located within North Carolina and 10 reside in Pennsylvania. The hotels are operated under franchise agreements with such brands as Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, Wyndham, Sheraton Four Points and Marriott Courtyard. Crown American will continue to manage the assets during an interim period. However, Broadway Hospitality will take over the management duties by the middle of March.
