NATIONAL REPORT—There’s recent hotel transaction activity in the industry, with Arbor Lodging Parters and Hunter Hotel Advisors closing on deals:
Arbor Lodging Partners Completes $135M Portfolio Acquisition
Arbor Lodging Partners has completed the $135-million acquisition of a portfolio, including the following hotels:
- Hampton Inn Santa Barbara/Goleta
- Hampton Inn Boston/Norwood, Hampton Inn & Suites Minneapolis/Bloomington
- Hyatt Place Dallas/Arlington
- Springhill Suites Minneapolis/Bloomington
- Residence Inn Salt Lake City Downtown
This expands its portfolio to 25 full-service and select-service hotels. Going forward, the hotels will be managed by Arbor Lodging Partners’ affiliate, Arbor Lodging Management. Upon acquisition, Arbor Lodging Partners will begin renovations of each property to include modern updates to all guestrooms, guest bathrooms, lobbies and common areas, as well as meeting spaces and food and beverage outlets.

Hunter Hotel Advisors, an investment advisory firm focused exclusively on the hotel industry, has released its March closings:
- Hampton Inn Atlanta Canton, GA
- Courtyard by Marriott, Dothan, AL
- G6 / Motel 6 Portfolio properties—Closed on seven more Motel 6 properties across the U.S. located in Slidell, LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Hershey, PA; Elko, NV; Sandston, VA; Tuscaloosa, AL; and Gulfport, MS
- Holiday Inn, Little Rock, AR
- TownePlace Suites & Courtyard by Marriott, Texarkana, TX
