ARLINGTON, WA—Angel of the Winds Casino is adding a five-story hotel, which is set to open mid-December.
The construction project, which exceeds $27 million, will add over 100,000 sq. ft. to the casino and create an additional 50 jobs.
Angel of the Winds is owned by the Stillaguamish Tribe, which opened the casino in October 2004 on their tribal land. The hotel was designed by DreamCatcher Hotels and constructed by Exxel Pacific.
The new hotel at Angel of the Winds will offer 125 guestrooms, including six two-bay suites with most over 800 sq. ft., and will be connected to the casino. All standard rooms will have signature photography from local artist Steven Kennedy; RainDance shower fixtures; polished chrome bathroom fixtures by Kohler; 42-in. LED TV; custom-designed Simmons Beautyrest mattress; Keurig coffeemaker; and an iPod speaker dock with clock radio. Complimentary high-speed Internet and WiFi will be available throughout the hotel.
This is the third phase in Angel of the Winds expansion project. The first phase consisted of 400 slot machines and the signature Katie’s Kitchen, a restaurant named after tribal member and advocate Kathleen Goodridge Johnson. The second phase expanded the casino to include table games, Keno and a poker room, as well as Watershed Restaurant & Lounge.
