ANAHEIM, CA The Anaheim Convention Center unveiled its 1.6 million-square-foot expansion last week, heralding hopes for the citys return to the forefront of Californias convention and tourism industry.
The new center is part of the $4.2 billion public and private effort to redevelop the city s resort district, which also includes Disneys new hotel, theme park, and shopping/entertainment complex. The new center, which is the largest state-of-the-art meeting center on the West Coast, features a soaring tower, three-level glass rotunda, and a 1,200-foot-long lobby. (1/2/01)
