CAP CANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC—AlSol Hotels & Resorts is set to open AlSol Tiara Cap Cana on June 1, adding a marina property to its portfolio.

“What sets Tiara apart in our resort portfolio is its modern take on luxury in an intimate atmosphere with a distinctive personality,” said Carlos Del Pino, managing director of AlSol Hotels & Resorts. “Our luxury resorts are celebrated for their spacious accommodations, intimate settings and privacy, which are important for romantic travelers and families. At Tiara, we wanted to create a truly social hotel for mingling, entertainment and serendipitous encounters for a memorable vacation.”

The beachfront resort sits adjacent to Marina Cap Cana and features an Aegean-inspired white facade accented with cobalt blues and coral hues. The 112-suite hotel is comprised of four categories with different features and ground-floor accommodations available.

The Ocean Junior Suite is a 678-sq.-ft. oceanfront suite situated directly on the resort’s sugar sand beach; the Marina Junior Suite is a 603-sq.-ft. marina-facing suite; the Luxury Master Suite is a 1,076-sq.-ft. oceanfront suite secluded in a more private setting; the 600-sq.-ft. Deluxe Swim-Out Suite is located on the ground floor steps from the private beach area with direct swim-out access to the resort’s wrap-around pool. All suites offer living rooms, walk-in closets, bath amenities, espresso machine with a selection of coffees and teas, open-air and roofed terraces, lounge chairs, and frontal panoramic windows. In addition, there is 24-hour room service and access to the fitness center.

The entrance features an open-air lobby leading to three bars and lounges that transition to communal free-form connected shallow pools, wrapping around the entire resort. Entertainment includes casual sports, coffee and lobby bars to the Blue Lotus Bar and nightlife spot with music by visiting DJs. Daily activities will include beach volleyball, ping pong, bocce ball, wine tastings, Spanish lessons, cooking lessons, among others. Nightly entertainment to include karaoke, movies, disco, beach party bonfires and weekly cocktail parties.

F&B Manager Gerald Blay will curate a variety of culinary selections and concepts, including menus created by Executive Chef Israel Gata. Xoxolati will be an open-air Mexican-themed dining experience as it overlooks the ocean; Blue Lotus will feature international cuisine with pan-Asian dishes; and Caribya Beach Grill will offer small bites paired with specialty cocktails to enjoy poolside.

Tiara’s Babor Signature Spa will provide treatments and therapies from professional skincare brand Babor.

Guests can also coordinate off-site experiences with the hotel’s concierge services to purchase boat rentals, kayaking, zip-lining and cave-diving excursions and island tours. Transportation and forecaddies are also available at the Punta Espada Golf Club, designed by the golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.
