WASHINGTON? After a year hiatus, the American Hotel & Motel Association Annual Conference & Leadership Forum, to be held April 14-16 at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN, has brought back the trade show. Renamed The Lodging Expo, the trade show has been revitalized and the floorplan has been expanded by 33% to include more than 200 vendors featuring new products and services for the hospitality industry. Vendors that will participate in the Lodging Expo will cover a variety of areas including advertising, marketing, signs, cleaning and maintenance, construction, engineering and design, environmental, fitness and entertainment, food and beverage, foodservice and equipment, finance and management, furnishings and fixtures, guest amenities, safety and security, uniforms and bedding, and technology. The Lodging Expo will be open Wednesday, April 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Thursday April 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. According to Bob Slater, AH&MA convention chairman and vice chairman and president, Southern Hospitality said the return of the trade show was a result of the demand from industry suppliers and past show attendees who ?shop for new products and services and meet with vendors face to face to learn which products are right for their staff and property.?
