AH&LA Marks Year Of Growth

WASHINGTON, DC–The American Hotel & Lodging Association in 2011 saw increases in its various membership categories.

Overall membership increased by 1.5 percent. The Women in Lodging group grew to nearly 1,500 members, while the Under 30 Gateway group grew to 650 members. Meanwhile, 17 student chapters with 2,500 members operated during the year at colleges and universities nationwide, according to Joseph McInerney, AH&LA president & CEO.

The Association’s first major event in 2012, the annual Legislative Action Summit, is scheduled for Washington, DC, Feb. 29-Mar.1.
