Accor Consolidated Sales Up

PARIS- Accor consolidated sales rose by 13.8% to $4.3 billion, as of September 2000, as compared to $3.7 billion in September 1999.

Hotel activities recorded strong growth, increasing 27.7%. Of this, 6.4% came from existing units and a 17.4% from new business development. In the upscale hotel sector, Sofitel continues to post rapid progress, up 9.5%, on a constant structural and currency basis, and by 16% in the third quarter alone. (10/31/00)
