NATIONAL REPORT—Spring is a time of renewal, and for three hotel properties, a revitalization of interiors to surprise and delight guests. Here’s a look at what’s new:
Holiday Inn Orlando Airport
Holiday Inn Orlando Airport has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to the property’s 290 guestrooms, conference facilities, lobby and other public areas to reflect the Holiday Inn brand’s innovative H4 design concept.
Sarona Holdings, the hotel’s ownership and management group, has transformed the seven-story, dual-tower property to offer a modern open living room concept, increased technology and guestrooms that adjust to the needs of travelers.
Andaz Savannah
Andaz Savannah, located in the heart of Savannah, GA’s historic district, has completed an extensive transformation of its 151 guestrooms and suites.
With a design philosophy focused on weaving the sights and sounds of Savannah, also known as the “Hostess City of the South,” the city’s Southern charm was the inspiration behind Andaz Savannah’s renovations.
Global architecture, design, and planning firm Gensler oversaw the hotel’s extensive renovation project. The group interlaced the story of Savannah into all aspects of the refreshed spaces, from the color palette to the fixtures and furniture.
Courtyard by Marriott Lafayette Airport
Waramaug LS Hotels completed the $1.5-million renovation of the Courtyard by Marriott Lafayette Airport in Lafayette, LA.
The extensive renovation included upgrading all guestrooms with new carpet, paint accent, wall vinyl, closet doors and a new seating package. The guest bathrooms were painted and new showers with glass doors added in all the king rooms and half the queen rooms. The remainder of the rooms had cast iron tubs installed. The public areas were enhanced with new softgoods and an upholstered seating package, along with new lighting, window treatments, paint, and carpet for the corridors. An expanded 450-sq.-ft. fitness center was added, and the parking area was resealed and striped. The Litt Group oversaw the renovation process.
