WASHINGTON, DC—Donohoe Hospitality, based here, is adding two hotels in Gadsden, AL, to its portfolio: the Hampton Inn Gadsden Downtown and the Hampton Inn Gadsden Attalla.

Both hotels are commonly owned by an Alabama-based developer. These are the first hotels in Donohoe’s portfolio outside of the DC metro area and operated for an owner unrelated to the company and its subsidiaries.

“We are thrilled to be bringing our services to Alabama. Donohoe has a track record of operating top-performing properties in the DC area and we are excited about this opportunity to extend our reputation as a third-party manager into a new market. We look forward to continued growth,” said Ben Koopman, president at Donohoe Hospitality.

The Hampton Inn Gadsden Downtown is located at 129 River Rd. The hotel has just completed a full renovation in conjunction with a Hilton franchise license renewal. The 100-room hotel is in close proximity to the city’s historic downtown area.

The Hampton Inn Gadsden Attalla is an 82-room suburban hotel located at 206 Walker St. The hotel has consistently been ranked in the top 5% of Hampton Inn’s worldwide portfolio since 2009, according to the company.

The Gadsden Hampton Inns will bring Donohoe Hospitality’s portfolio to a total of 13 hotels.
