Homewood Suites San Jose Debuts Take Flight Design

SAN JOSE, CA—Homewood Suites by Hilton San Jose has completed the brand’s new Take Flight design update. One of Homewood’s first generation hotels, the 24-year-old property completed a three-month revitalization of its guestrooms and public spaces, including the lodge, the home office—formerly the business center—and suite shop, among other key areas.

“The average extended-stay guest age demographic, while currently in their mid-40s, is getting younger every day,” stated Bill Duncan, global head, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton. “Trends like this and others we found in our recent study with Skift.com helped shape our Take Flight design program. We aim to keep the brand feeling fresh, offering an experience that meets all our guests’ needs.”

Take Flight was developed for Homewood Suites’ 25th anniversary last year. The program will continue to roll out to Homewood Suites across the country through 2018. Homewood Suites San Jose will be implementing various elements of the Take Flight design over the next several years.

The hotel has 140 one- or two-bedroom suites, as well as the newly renovated public spaces: the connect zone, the dining zone, the lounge zone and the outdoor kitchen space. The hotel is also one of the first to implement Homewood Suites’ new suite design standards, which include upholstered headboards, back-lit vanity mirrors, accent walls, ottoman with wrap-over table, and updated pendent lighting in the kitchen.
