The Hospitality Leadership Forum, which precedes the show on Saturday, Nov. 8, will feature a keynote panel titled “U.S. Lodging Industry Summit” moderated by Ron Vlasic, regional VP, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and past chair of the AH&LA. Panelists will include Vail Brown, VP, global business development & marketing, STR; Warren Marr, managing director, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP; and Peter C. Yesawich, vice chairman, MMGY Global. Topics will include current industry statistics and projections, as well as the implications for the industry. Other panel topics will include revenue management and marketing, the key to a successful project, sustainable trends in hospitality education and measuring carbon footprints.

The show is co-located with BDNY, which will run Sunday, Nov. 9, through Monday, Nov. 10, and is expected to host 500-plus exhibitors and some 5,000 attendees. BDNY will feature two full days of expert panel presentations and interactive workshops.

In addition, the 34th annual Gold Key Award for Excellence in Hospitality Design Gala will be held on Monday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 pm., at the Mandarin Oriental. Winners and finalists of each of the 19 award categories will be recognized, along with the 2014 Designer of the Year honoree.
