AUSTIN, TX—Hotel ZaZa and Gables Residential are ready to begin construction of Republic Square Tower located between Guadalupe and Lavaca on West 4th Street here.
The new 24-story building will feature over 200 luxury apartments with a private roof top pool, as well as Hotel ZaZa—a 160-key hotel with two restaurants, ZaSpa, 7,000 sq. ft. of conference and event space and a separate pool and cabanas overlooking Republic Square Park.
The new building is designed to complement the adjacent Warehouse District. In addition, the developers will integrate the façade of a vacant building located on West 4th Street. Some key architectural elements will be preserved during the dismantling process and reused in the public spaces of the new building. The site is currently used as two surface parking lots.
The apartments and hotel are scheduled to open in late 2016.
