NEW YORK- HOTELBUSINESS. has learned that the Hotel Wales, located in New York City on Madison Avenue between 92nd and 93rd Streets, will soon be offering high-speed Internet access to guests.
We re currently getting wired and evaluated with Show Digital, said hotel General Manager, Janice Nicholas. Nicholas added that the Hotel Wales sister hotels- the Roger Williams Hotel at 28 East 31st Street, and the Shoreham Hotel at 33 West 55th Street- already have high-speed Internet access.
While not sure of when the hotel would be ready to offer Internet access, Nicholas estimated within the next 60 to 90 days, by November if not sooner.
The hotel, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in September 2000, recently completed a refurbishment program at an estimated cost of $2-to-3 million. Jay Nussbaum (8/30/00)
