PITTSBURGH The Ritz-Carlton hotel chain is considering opening a facility in the Downtown cultural district here, two blocks from the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

The contemplated site of the Ritz would be two blocks from that of a soon-to-be-announced hotel to serve the expanded convention center, and close to the $44 million transformation of the Fulton Building into the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel. (11/17/00)
