Priceline Aligns With Amadeus GDS

NORWALK, CT-  Priceline.com reached an agreement with Amadeus Global Travel Distribution (AMS Madrid) to use Amadeus international global distribution system (GDS) to process ticket purchase requests from customers of priceline.com and its international licensees.

Currently, the agreement covers airline ticket purchases made in 140 countries covered by the Amadeus system. In addition to Amadeus, priceline.com uses the Worldspan GDS, and will continue to utilize the Worldspan system. In 2 1/2 years, priceline.com has sold approximately 6 million tickets through Worldspan, and also processes hotel room nights and car rental days through the system. (11/7/00)
