NEW YORK- Swissotel today changed its name to Swissotel Hotels & Resorts to reflect the increased growth and planned expansion by the international hospitality management company.

Andreas Meinhold, president/CEO of Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, headquartered here, said recognition of the company s service level has generated interest for the company to manage two resorts, which are currently in stages of construction. These include the 204-room Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt; and the 220-room Swissotel Port Gocek in Turkey, where  The  Inn at Swissotel Port Gocek and a 400-slip marina opened earlier this year.

The company s corporate logo has been updated to include the new name.

Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of SAirRelations, the  SAirGroup  division  specializing in hotel management, catering and travel retail, also manages or markets properties in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. –Stefani C. O Connor (8/18/00)
