NATIONAL REPORT—Dual-branded properties have been trending as hotel companies seek to trim some costs by combining brands under one roof, and it’s proving to be a success. Here’s a look at recent dual-brand projects:

Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton
Hilton has opened its first-ever Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton dual-brand hotel located in Murfreesboro, TN. Owned by Kana Hotels, Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton Murfreesboro has 154 rooms total, with 79 for Tru by Hilton and 75 for Home2 by Hilton.

Marriott
Marriott has opened a dual-branded hotel development in downtown Denver. The 20-story development has a 272-room Le Méridien Hotel and a 223-room AC Hotel by Marriott—the lifestyle brand’s first property to open in Denver—owned and managed by White Lodging Services Corporation. Simeone Deary Design Group led design efforts at both the AC Hotel by Marriott Denver Downtown and the Le Méridien Denver Downtown. The latter has more than 12,000 sq. ft. of event space, including a 5,700-sq.-ft. ballroom. The properties have more than 30 pieces of artwork curated by Denver-based firm, Nine Dot Arts, and created by local artists inspired by the property’s European influence and the Rocky Mountains.

Alfred Sanzari Enterprises
Alfred Sanzari Enterprises recently held a “topping out” event for its 350-room dual-branded hotel now under construction at the mixed-use Glenpointe complex in Teaneck, NJ. The property will include a 190-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton and a 160-room Homewood Suites by Hilton. The hotels will share the same entrance, meeting room, function space, fitness center and parking garage.
