ZURICH, SWITZERLAND— Hyatt International has reported that developer Karl Steiner will begin work on the construction of the new Park Hyatt Zürich on June 3. The 142-room, five-star hotel, which will form part of a mixed-use development located near the citys congress center, is set to open in early 2005. Elsewhere in Switzerland, the real estate company Strader revealed it has invested €41 million (US$38.18 million) in work currently underway to extend the five-star Crowne Plaza Hotel in Geneva. The work, which is set to finish in September 2003, will take the room count from 305 to 500, making the hotel the second largest in the country. SOURCE: HVS International
