LINCOLNSHIRE, IL— Zenith said that the Kor Hotel Group, which owns and operates a group of luxury hotels, has committed to equip three existing and one new California boutique hotels with approximately 400 Zenith televisions featuring—for the first time in the lodgings market— a new type of flat-tube technology. Zenith’s exclusive “Truly Flat” technology provides a flat surface on both the outside and inside of the screen, allowing brighter images and enhanced color purity without the distortions often associated with other flat tube monitors, according to the company. The result is a clearer image, more vibrant colors and reduced glare. The Kor Group will utilize Zenith’s 27-inch H27D55DT TV, the first integrated pay-per-view flat-screen TV designed for the lodgings industry. Zenith’s advanced monitors have already been installed in the 77 rooms of the Kor Group’s Estrella in Palm Springs, which has been newly renovated in a Modern Hollywood Regency design. In coming months, Zenith will equip three additional Kor properties: the Avalon Hotel on West Olympic Boulevard and Maison 140 on South Lasky Drive, both in Beverly Hills; and the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica.
