JACKSON HOLE, WY—The new Wyoming Inn will debut in May with a $4.5 million overhaul that includes a complete renovation of its 68 guestrooms—at approximately $70,000 per key—plus a remodeled restaurant, board room and fitness center.
The Wyoming Inn undertook the major changes in three phases to avoid disruptions to guests: during phase one, the exterior received new roofing, new siding, rockwork and landscaping; in phase two, public areas, including the board room and fitness center, were remodeled and the restaurant was expanded; in phase three, the bathrooms were remodeled, followed by the complete renovation of all guestrooms.
Jayne Sanders Interior Designs of Vancouver, WA, was the designer for the project.
Elements of the renovation include new lamps in hand-forged iron with an aria bronze finish, 42-in., flat-screen televisions and solid-maple pieces handcrafted by Oregon-based furniture maker Ron Loe of Wood Castle Furniture.
Every guestroom has new carpeting, wallpaper, draperies and ultra-high-thread-count linens. The rooms feature a palette of brown, green and gold, incorporating elements such as a saddle leather ottoman and botanical photographs and prints by artist Dennis Rhoades.
Window seats were added in 24 of the rooms; 17 rooms have fireplaces surrounded with copper tile and wood paneling and feature sandstone hearths.
Bathrooms received an upgrade with granite countertops, glass-encased showers with porcelain tiles from floor to ceiling and porcelain sinks.
All the upgraded rooms are equipped with in-room coffee makers, microwaves, refrigerators and Sunbeam Elite alarm clocks with phone chargers, iPod connectivity, white noise option and voice-guided instructions to set alarms.
