NEW YORK—HOTEL BUSINESS® has learned veteran hotelier Joseph Kane Jr., group president/Wyndham Hotel Group and Days Inns Worldwide, is stepping down from his responsibilities, effective the end of February. Ken Greene, currently the president of Howard Johnson and Travelodge, will succeed Kane. He is being promoted to group president for Days Inn, Travelodge and Howard Johnson. Kane is expected to help with the transition through the end of this month. HB® also has learned Kane, who headed the economy brand for the past 11 years, will remain with the Wyndham Hotel Group on a part-time basis to work on “special projects.”—Stefani C. O’Connor
