Wyndham Starting E-Procurement Consortium

NEW ORLEANS Wyndham International is launching an e-procurement consortium powered by Go Co-Op, the same solution being used by the Avendra alliance.

Despite the technological overlap between the two consortia, Wyndham maintains that it will not join Avendra and that the two entities are entirely separate.

“My prices are lower,” said Jay Litt, Wyndham s chief purchasing officer (CPO) with regard to Avendra. “There s $54 million out there in procurement. There s plenty of room for ZoHo, Go Co-Op, whatever.”

According to Litt, Wyndham s consortium will be, “cross-industry based.” He noted that many industries use the same goods, like copy paper, and that if an office building wants to buy at Wyndham s prices, they re welcome to join. (1/19/01) Diana M. Rodriguez
