DALLAS Wyndham International, in an effort to extend its luxury resort experience to its large urban hotels, said it will add the first urban Golden Door Spa at the 1,620-room Wyndham Anatole Hotel near downtown Dallas. Construction on the $4-million, 35,000-square-foot spa is set to begin in December, with completion projected for July 2002.

In 1998, Wyndham acquired the original Golden Door Spa (Escondido, CA) to complement its brand focus on upscale and luxury hotels and resorts. Currently, the luxury spa has been extended to two Wyndham resort properties including the Wyndham Peaks Resort in Telluride, CO, and Las Casitas Village – A Wyndham Luxury Resort in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico. Another is slated to open this fall at The Boulders- A Wyndham Luxury Resort in Carefree, AZ. (5/11/01)
