WASHINGTON, DC—The Wingate by Wyndham Chantilly/Dulles Airport has completed a $1.2-million renovation. The hotel is managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
“We are proud of our renovation and even more proud to receive such great feedback from our guests,” said Steve Lamb, general manager. “Every area of the hotel has seen a positive impact from our renovation.”
The hotel has added a third van to their fleet, allowing for a more immediate response to guest requests for complimentary transportation to the airport and within a three-mile radius of the hotel.
“The lobby and adjacent breakfast room have been reinvented from the ground up,” said Lamb. This includes new flooring and furniture with cleaner lines giving the area a modern look. A new “pantry” will be added to the lobby where guests will be able to purchase snacks, meals, beverages (including beer and wine) as well as souvenirs and sundries around the clock. And adjacent to the lobby is the newly designed 24-hour business center.
Additional upgrades to the public spaces include new computers and faster Internet speeds, as well as high definition on all guestroom and public area TVs. The fitness center received new decor and all new equipment. “We took special care to be sure we added all state-of-the-art fitness equipment as we understand how important physical fitness is to so many of our guests,” said Lamb. “We don’t want anyone to feel they are missing any component of their workout while away from home.”
The 131 guestrooms were also given an update, including new hair dryers, upgraded room phones and telephone system and the addition of in-room safes. Work desks and chairs were all replaced with ergonomic workstations.
