PARSIPPANY, NJ—The Wingate by Wyndham unveiled a refreshed new-construction prototype concept that evolves the guest experience to better meet travelers’ needs while lowering development costs and capturing greater efficiencies for hotel owners.
The updated design for the new-construction brand creates an open, inviting lobby and lounge space that allows guests to stay connected and productive in contemporary surroundings, creating a social setting suitable for work or leisure that guests seek.
The design also reduces the costs for hotel owners to build and operate a new Wingate by Wyndham property on a more efficient footprint, offering approximately 10% in savings compared to the brand’s previous prototype.
“Wingate by Wyndham has always been a consistent, value-driven brand, but we are continuously looking for ways to further evolve the experience for our guests,” stated Bill Hall, brand SVP of Wingate by Wyndham. “The relaxing lobby space and integrated connectivity, along with Wingate by Wyndham’s mainstays of all-inclusive pricing, free breakfast daily and spacious guest rooms, will give guests the productivity, comfort and social surroundings they now expect from their hotel stays.”
The open lobby offers guests a relaxing social environment with comfortable furniture in natural tones, as well as a slotted ceiling that lets in natural light. Integrated technology is found throughout the space, including multiple connectivity areas, four large flat-screen televisions and free high-speed wireless internet access, all which contribute to a setting suitable for work or leisure.
The communal breakfast area transforms to a bar, event space or additional seating throughout the day, allowing for greater flexibility and use of space.
The new prototype is designed with 99 guestrooms over four floors. Accommodations have received a refreshing facelift, with higher ceilings and a redesigned, larger bathroom that includes modern finishes, a walk-in shower and illuminated vanity mirror.
The building’s exterior stays true to Wingate by Wyndham’s signature look, but now features cleaner lines and a more contemporary porte-cochère. Demonstrating the brand’s on-going commitment to sustainability, the building has been designed to be LEED-certifiable and includes LED lighting, low-flow fixtures and optional outdoor parking areas specifically for car-charging stations.
