CINCINNATTI, OH— Winegardner & Hammons here has found itself in the middle of a pair of hotel-conversion transactions recently, both involving properties changing from Radisson to Marriott branding. In the first instance earlier this year, it was noted 220-unit The Cedarwood Cos.-owned Radisson Suite Resort on Sand Key in Clearwater Beach, FL takes on a new life as the completely renovated Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites On Sand Key. The eight-story, all-suite property— operated by Winegardner & Hammons— now features some 7,500 square feet of meeting space, including a number of separate meeting rooms. Much more recently, in Columbus, OH, the former Columbus Airport Radisson— owned and operated by Winegardner & Hammons— is now the 228-room Columbus Airport Marriott. In addition to 22 suites, the re-flagged, six-story property offers 14,000 square feet of meeting space as well as a fully equipped business center. Total conversion costs for both hotels were undisclosed.
