NEW ORLEANS— The Windsor Court, an Orient-Express hotel, has added free in-room, high-speed Internet access and 24-hour, in-house technical support through the hotels “compcierge” program in an effort to further cater to the needs of its business traveler clientele. “Compcierges” are there to assist guests with their computer needs, which may range from configuring their e-mail to changing printer settings. They are knowledgeable in many of the major software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher. They are also versed in copying files and conversion from other applications to Microsoft Office, noted the hotel. The goal of these new amenities, explained hotel officials, is to give guests a “satellite office” while they are traveling. Other business traveler amenities include complimentary daily papers; free phone calls; personalized letterhead, and access to the hotels business center. All guestrooms, suites and meeting facilities have high-speed, T1-line Internet access via an RJ45 port.
