NATIONAL REPORT—A dual-brand in Denver, beach resorts in Hawaii and Florida, plus a city project in California. Here are the details on the recent developments:
Denver Dual-Brand to Offer Space, Shared Amenities
Construction is underway on Stonebridge Companies’ dual-brand Hilton property in downtown Denver. Stonebridge Companies, headquartered in Denver, is serving as the owner, developer and operator for the 22-story project that will add 382 rooms and suites. The property is close to the Colorado Convention Center.
The dual-brand property broke ground in November 2017 and marked the first Tru by Hilton property within Stonebridge Companies’ portfolio. Tru by Hilton Denver Downtown Convention Center will have 176 guestrooms. The downtown project will also have a Home2 Suites by Hilton with 206 suites.
Planned to open in late 2019, the property has a designated lobby and dining areas. The property also has a variety of shared amenities including a fitness center, conference room, restaurant and bar, valet parking and a 74,500-sq.-ft., five-story parking garage.
Hilton Grand Vacations Expands to Maui, HI
Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. has plans for Maui Bay Villas by Hilton Grand Vacations, which will be HGV’s 10th property in Hawaii and its first on the island of Maui.
Maui Bay Villas is located on a 27-acre site with 740 ft. of oceanfront with views of Maalaea Bay. The resort will have 388 units of one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, averaging 962 sq. ft. Planned amenities include a clubhouse with restaurant, kids club, fitness center, grab-and-go market, “super pool” with pool bar, oceanfront beach club and more than 15 acres of open-lawn recreational space.
The initial phase of the project includes 131 units within four buildings, plus all the supporting buildings and improvements, and is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2021. Sales are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2020.
Beach Resort Underway in Miramar Beach, FL
Sandestin Investments LLC released final external renderings of the Sandestin Hotel, which broke ground September 2018. The new 250-room full-service hotel is located adjacent to the Baytowne Conference Center at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Completion of the hotel is slated for April 2020. Batson-Cook will construct the hotel with Cooper Carry as the architect; Highgate will manage the property.
The new full-service hotel will include a three-meal restaurant, a lobby bar, room service, a spa, a fitness facility and a rooftop pool and bar. The Sandestin Hotel will also include more than 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and a 13,000-sq.-ft. ballroom. Additionally, guests of the hotel will have access to more than seven miles of beaches and bayfront, four championship golf courses, 15 tennis courts and a 113-slip marina.
Pendry and Pendry Residences in the Works in West Hollywood
AECOM Capital, the investment arm of AECOM, and Combined Properties will construct the Pendry West Hollywood and the Pendry Residences West Hollywood by Montage Hotels & Resorts, an approximately 300,000-sq.-ft. development encompassing a full city block along Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, CA, scheduled to open in 2020. Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects designed the property, executed by Cuningham Group Architects with interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. AECOM serves as construction manager on the project through its AECOM Hunt business.
Pendry West Hollywood will have 149 guestrooms as well as 40 private residences. Guests and residence owners will have access to amenities, including a private membership club, multiple chef-driven food and beverage outlets, a rooftop pool and bar, a multi-purpose live entertainment venue, a screening room, bowling alley, Spa Pendry and fitness center as well as a curated art collection.
Pendry Residences West Hollywood by Montage Hotels & Resorts, the first Pendry Residences to open, will have spacious floor plans and terraces and offer owners residential amenities such as a private rooftop pool, fitness center, lounge and wine room.
