WASHINGTON—The 406-room Westin Washington, DC City Center completed a $17 million enhancement to its guestrooms, restaurant, lobby and meeting facilities.
Guestrooms and suites now feature remodeled bathrooms, guestroom soft goods, 50-in. LED TVs, refrigerators and safes. The rooms offer the Westin Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Shower, Heavenly Robe and White Tea Aloe bath amenities. Guestrooms have wireless high-speed Internet access. The hotel also now offers the Westin’s signature SuperFoodsRx menu, which includes nutrient-rich options.
The hotel has introduced the full-service Fringetree restaurant and lounge that includes traditional dishes in addition to Westin’s SuperFoods concept. Wine, local beer on tap and cocktails also are offered. An adjoining Grab-and-Go counter serves Starbucks coffee, breakfast sandwiches and light fare.
The hotel’s 17,500 sq. ft. of meeting and banquet space has been updated with enhanced catering and event planning services. The hotel also offers Tangent at Westin, a workspace concept intended to meet the needs of business travelers and small work groups, according to the property.
The lobby concept features natural elements, vertical gardens and seating. The vertical garden is designed to improve indoor air quality and create a more natural environment.
