PHOENIX Westin Kierland Resort officials added three lenders to its project team, completing the resorts capitalization package and clearing way for construction on the 750-room destination resort hotel. Sundt Construction, general contractor for the hotel development, was given notice to proceed in early December. The hotel is expected to open in the first quarter of 2003. Lenders rounding out the $180 million deal include Bank of America, The Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotia Capital) and Wells Fargo Bank. They join previously announced equity investors Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Cook Inlet Region, Woodbine Development Corp., and the Herberger Interests. (12/14/00)
