BIRMINGHAM, AL—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. introduced its Westin brand to this city, with the Westin Birmingham joining the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel as Starwood’s second property at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC).
The new-build hotel features 294 guestrooms; 7,000 sq. ft. of meeting and banquet facilities; 2,500 sq. ft. of pre-function space; a full-service restaurant; a gym; and an outdoor pool.
The opening is part of the continued expansion of the BJCC. It sits adjacent to new restaurants and nightlife venues in the Uptown district, as well as the sports arena and two performing arts theaters.
