SPOKANE, WA— WestCoast Hospitality introduced a national sales strategy that combines sales forces from WestCoast Hotels and Red Lion Hotels and Inns. The joint national sales force will support the sales and marketing efforts of the hotels through a variety of functions. National directors of sales already support the sales and marketing efforts of all those within WestCoasts portfolio. The director maintains consistent communication regarding all available sales tools and opportunities, and acts as a resource to the hotels on-site team to assist in obtaining maximum revenue potential level. Each national sales director is also in charge of sales solicitation to an assigned market segment, including sales to the following markets: association; crew/permanent; tour and travel; government, education, religious and fraternal organizations; and corporate. Leading the national director of sales efforts are Elaine Bennett (association); Chuck Carter (crew/permanent), Roger Clute (tour and travel), Jack Gettles (government, education, religious and fraternal organizations), and Cheryl Foster (corporate). The team of directors is lead by Lori Farnell, vp/sales, WestCoast Hotels.
