DALLAS Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has added the Wentworth Mansion, located in Charleston, SC to its membership. The Wentworth becomes South Carolina s third member of the luxury consortium, sharing the distinction with the Main Street Inn in Hilton Head and Litchfield Plantation on Pawleys Island.
The 21-room Wentworth Mansion was built in 1886 and designed in a Second Empire Style, featuring a hand-carved marble fireplace and Tiffany windows. Rooms feature king-sized beds, jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces, individual sound systems, phones and computer connections. (1/29/01)
