DURHAM, NC— The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club has promoted Jason Cunningham to executive chef. Previously chef de cuisine at the propertys Fairview Restaurant, Cunningham will lead the hotels entire culinary team and oversee the planning and preparation of all fare offered in its restaurants, banquets, meetings, special events and room service. Cunningham, a graduate of Johnson and Wales University, received his European-style culinary training from Restaurant Million in Charleston, SC and at Blantyre in Lenox, MA. He has worked at various hotel and resort locations throughout the country, including many Relais & Chateaux properties. The 171-room Washington Duke Inn is located on the campus of Duke University in Durham. It is in the midst of a $25 million renovation and expansion project, which will include many enhancements to its dining and ballroom facilities.
