Villager Inks Deals For 18 Hearthside By Villager Hotels

PARSIPPANY, NJ Villager Franchise Systems has announced the signing of several agreements, including a 10-property deal, to build and franchise 18 all new construction Hearthside by Villager hotels. The deals represent 2,200 rooms and will significantly enhance the extended stay brand s Midwest and Southern presence.

Of the18 new properties, 10 will be developed by Cecil Weatherspoon and will be located in Ohio. The other eight hotels will be developed in North Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi and Florida. Groundbreaking for the first hotel in each area is expected by mid-summer.

In addition to the nine deals, Villager received 21 franchise applications in its first 40 days of selling the new Hearthside by Villager tier representing more than 2,500 rooms. (5/17/01)
