CORAL SPRINGS, FL—Vantage Hospitality Group, through its subsidiary, Vantage Franchising (Canada) Inc., recently signed an exclusive agreement with Glen Blake, CEO of Full House Hospitality Services Limited, to develop the Canadas Best Value Inn brand in the Eastern provinces of Canada.
Working closely with Blake will be industry veteran Rick Keene, the VP of development for Full House Hospitality. In the West, Arun Deo, president of South Pacific Management Marketing Services, Ltd., will serve as an authorized development director for the brand specifically in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. His son, Anusheel Deo, VP of South Pacific Management, will assist with the development of the Canadas Best Value Inn brand.
“I can’t imagine a more dynamic development team,” stated Bill Hanley, Vantage Hospitality’s group president of international development. “Glen and Rick have nearly 80 years of franchising and development experience between them, and Arun has extensive hotel operations and management background and personally has owned two CBVIs. The inside knowledge and experience these men bring to the table is unparalleled and I have no doubt they are exactly who we need to expand the Canadas Best Value Inn brand.”
Deo and his family purchased the Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites in Kamloops, BC in 2011, and the CBVI in Langley, BC in 2013, which he recently sold. Before that he worked in multiple positions at the Sheraton Fiji Resort, and was instrumental in creating an award-winning Comfort Inn & Suites in Kamloops as general manager.
“I’ve been a part of CBVI and the Vantage family for five years now and I truly appreciate how we are so different than any other hotel brand. We have low fees, flexible contracts, a voice and a vote in the direction of our brand, and some of the best revenue and marketing resources in the industry. I’m really looking forward to showing both independent and branded hotel owners how they can better meet their financial goals with Canadas Best Value Inn,” stated Deo.
Blake’s company, Full House Hospitality Services Limited, was the master franchisor for Howard Johnson Canada and Knights Inn Canada, and owns and operated Canada’s largest hospitality procurement company, Preferred Alliance Group. Full House provides hospitality consulting services to hotels, inns and restaurants, specializing in independently owned and operated properties.
