EDWARDS, CO Vail Resorts recently held its first-ever customer-service program in Spanish for its resort employees.

Featuring a video on the history of the valley and another on the tenets of customer service, the hour-long program, held at St. Clare of Assisi Parish after evening Mass, was received by about 45 people, mostly Mexican immigrants.

The program emphasizes addressing guests by their names, making sure services were adequately provided, and showing patrons appreciation for their business. Comments after the session were positive, and participants offered constructive criticism about how employers could offer more help in areas such as affordable housing, English classes, and job advancement.
