SAN DIEGO— US Franchise Systems, Inc. and its Microtel Inns and Suites, Hawthorn Suites and Best Inns and Best Suites brands have received the Fair Franchising Seal from locally based American Association of Franchisees and Dealers. The seal is bestowed upon franchisers that are designated by their own independent franchisee association or Franchise Advisory Council as possessing an exemplary record of franchise practices that embody equity, fairness and service. To receive the seal, franchisers must receive approval from at least 75% of their franchisees through a confidential survey conducted by the AAFD. US Franchise Systems received a 97.2% approval rating this year.
