BLUE BELL, PA Unisys has launched an addition to its e-@ction InRoom Connect Solution (IRC), a new Ethernet jack-based high-speed Internet connectivity product. This new offering lets hotels offer high-speed Internet access via a custom portal at a price point that is economical for deployment in all rooms.
The InRoom Connect high-speed jack solution is available to hotels for a fee per room, which covers the necessary infrastructure enhancements to deliver broadband access and a customized portal. Hotels then have the option of charging guests for the access, for which they will keep 100% of the revenues. (2/20/01)
