BOCAS DEL TORO, PANAMA—Union Hanover Securities, a London-based specialty real estate investment and development company with a hospitality focus, plans to develop its second hotel here, Mantra.
Miami-based independent hotel operator Boutique Hospitality Management has been contracted to manage the 48-suite property.
“We continue to invest in the Panamanian market because we truly believe Bocas del Toro will become the world’s next leading destination for those seeking an exclusive island retreat that’s filled with adventure and excitement,” said Peter Debs, managing director for Union Hanover Securities.
Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, Mantra offers a wide array of watersports including snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving and waterskiing. Slated for completion in 2017, the new boutique hotel will blend outdoor-indoor living. Guests will have the benefit of modern comforts and amenities while enjoying the tropical rainforest that surrounds the property. The island’s nature trails feature wildlife and various fruit trees such mango, banana, cacao, citrus and indigenous fruit.
