MAPLE GROVE, MN— The $20-million Holiday Inn Hotels & Suites-Maple Grove has made its premier here as Holiday Inn’s 12th property with an indoor waterpark. The 25,000-square-foot Venetian-inspired waterpark consists of an arcade, two four-story water slides, a 20-person spa, the Bambini Piscina toddler pool, an activity pool with basketball hoops, cobblestone streets and gondolas. The 136-room hotel, which is owned by HINW, Inc. and operated by Torgerson Properties, Inc., features two restaurants, 37 Tuscany and Portofino suites, 23 KidsSuites, a business center, 1,900 square feet of meeting space, free high-speed Internet access and Wi-Fi and a media center with an iPod docking station in each room. The Tuscany suites offer a balcony and two queen-size beds. Portofino suites contains king size beds and Jacuzzis. KidsSuites offer bunk beds, separate sleeping and entertainment areas for kids and adults, 20-inch LCD televisions and Sony Play Station 2 systems.
