True Fitness Buys Sohn In Supplier Merger

O’FALLON, MO— True Fitness Technology, based here, has acquired Sohn, Inc. of Atlanta. Sohn was founded in 1992 and specializes in the distribution of products to the hospitality industry in the U.S. and Canada. Fitness Technology said that it had established an initial distribution with Sohn in 2000 and supplied them with treadmills and other fitness equipment under a special brand licensing and marketing agreement. As that relationship grew, the acquisition “became logical for both of us,” said Frank Trulaske, president/CEO of True Fitness. Sohn’s president/CEO John Sarver will now serve as vp of True Fitness’ hospitality division. True Fitness Technology, which specializes in treadmills, has expanded its line to include ellipticals, bikes and a flexibility station.
