NEW YORK— WeBeenThere.com, an online travel site has changed its name to Travants.com. The switch is taking place in hopes that the new name will create a clearer brand for the company, according to a recent report on crainsny.com. The two-year-old travel site, based here, offers travels advice, but does not book trips like its competitors, Orbitz and Travelocity. The new name, derived from the word “savants,” is designed to reflect the companys focus on the expertise of travel agents. Two new salespeople are being hired to help promote the re-branded site.
